COLD SPARKS FAQ

What are cold spark fountains?

Cold spark fountains are a super cool technology often referred to as a pyrotechnics simulator. Combustion happens at a low temperature. You can put your hand over them, etc., without issue. There's still combustion taking place in the machine, however, by the time the "spark" exits the machine, they are about 62 degrees F.Cold spark fountains are a super cool technology often referred to as a pyrotechnics simulator. How much do cold sparks cost?

Pricing will always vary, usually based on the quality of the cold spark technology being used. We use the originally technology patented by Showven for professional events that need to go perfectly. There is cheap, low budget, technology out there but that comes with the risk of sparks not firing on cue, not turning off, misfiring, etc.
For a wedding, make sure your provider is using professional cold spark technology. There are no do-overs for your first dance and other iconic moments. Don't risk it on cheap tech.
Our current pricing starts at $700 for two units that can be fired multiple times, however, they can also be included bundled into our Live It Up package. We can fire up to six units simultaneously.

Can they be relocated or fire multiple times?

Yes, they can be fired multiple times in 30 second bursts.
No, they cannot be relocated once they are placed. There are electrical cables and signal cables that we neatly secure so it looks great visually. We also don't want to compromise any connections after testing.
If you'd like spark fired in multiple locations, we can set up additional spark units in various locations.

How can I tell the difference between professional and cheap cold sparks?

Visually, cheap cold spark machines will have a thin spark fountain. It won't look full and bright.
From an equipment perspective, a good rule of thumb is, if the cold spark units are being triggered by something that resembles a wireless garage door opener, those are cheap units that may misfire or not fire when they're supposed to.
Professional spark machines are fired from a control module with a wired connection that gives the operator information about the current status of each unit.

Can cold sparks be used indoors?

Yes, they can be used indoors or outdoors. They need to have about 6' of clearance around each spark unit for safety.
