They gave me a partial request list beforehand to work with, and I also mixed in some tracks that I selected. The dancefloor was the place to be all night. I love playing clean music. In my opinion, explicit lyrics kill the energy of a party so I always keep it clean anyway. There is SO much amazing music out there, hip hop, EDM, country, old school hip hop, R&B, etc. that is often overlooked. This night there were all ringing through the speakers. . . cheehuu!!! Here's the setup. . . I was definitely digging the pumpkins they decorated my subwoofer with!

The Marine who hired me was also stoked as were the high ranking Sergeant Majors because the Marines were out there dancing and having a good time. (I guess last year, the DJ wasn't so hot and almost everyone left after about half an hour...yikes!)

I'm Nate Burgoyne, founder and lead DJ of Frobaby Productions, and this is what we do. We create nights that feel alive - where the flow, the timing, and the energy are intentional from start to finish.

Using our pre-request app, we'll get a clear feel for what your version of "chill vibes" or "high energy" really means. Then we'll build a plan around it - thinking through transitions, building momentum, and crafting a soundtrack that fits the way you want your celebration to feel.
When we show up, we're ready to read the room and adapt in real time.We watch for what connects - who's mouthing every word, who's tapping their foot, which moments pull people in. We mix live, never relying on pre-made playlists or gimmicks. We move quickly when something's not hitting and let great songs breathe. By the time open dancing starts, nobody needs to be convinced - your guests already know they're in good hands.

When I decided to grow my DJ company beyond myself, I chose the name Frobaby for a reason. I didn't want something generic like "Island Sound" or "Aloha DJs." I wanted something that stood out - something that meant something to me. Years earlier, our family had fun little hot dog cart called Frobaby Hot Dogs, and when it came time to name my DJ company, I brought it back. Not because of the cart, but because of what it represented: being unique, bold, and unafraid to stand out. (We had the hottest sauce EVER! The tagline was, It'll blow your wig back!)

- [The Lights](https://frobabyproductions.com/the-lights): The foundation of Frobaby light shows is a an even wash of solid color changing lights that floods the area with energy. In our experience, this elevates the experience of every event. Guests feel relaxed when they are surrounded by colored light that they can "hide" in and cut loose in. Then, we build on those solid wash lights for events that call for more advanced lighting. We add high energy moving head "search light" effects, uplights, and can accentuate the space with pixel tubes for club or festival style lighting. We shy away from using lighting that puts little dots on people faces and on the walls. In our opinion that approach feels like a kid birthday party or the roller skating rink, is visually aggravating for guests, feels "cheap,"  and is a nightmare for photographers and videographers. Our classy high end approach isn't "hokey-pokey" and compliments the DJ talent and music that is fueling the vibe for your celebration. Got an idea? Let's chat!
